- Ketchup ½ cup
- Rice vinegar 1 tbsp.
- Light soy sauce 1 tbsp.
- Lemon juice 2 tbsp.
- Honey 2 tbsp.
- Black pepper powder ½ tsp.
- Brown sugar 1 tbsp.
- Chili flakes ½ tsp.
- Green onions 2, minced
- Garlic 4 cloves, minced
- Oil 2 tbsp.
- Pinch of salt
- Sesame seeds 1 tsp.
- Water ¼ cup or as much needed.
For Garnish:
- Green onion minced 1 tsp.
Instructions
- Add gochujang, ketchup, light soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, lemon, black pepper powder, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisk them very well and make a smooth sauce paste.
- Set a saucepan on medium-high heat and add oil and garlic, fry for 30 seconds.
- Now pour the sauce paste on it, reduce heat to medium-low, give a stir and add water. Then add chili flakes, sesame seed, green onion and a pinch of salt.
- Stir until the sauce becomes thick and sauce consistency, about 5 minutes when the flavors blend perfectly, off the flame and leave to cool.
